The Czech ambassador to Georgia, Petr Kubernat, along with the representatives of the embassy, visited Zahesi hydropower plant. The representatives of JSC "EP Georgia Generation" introduced the Ambassador with information about the activities and investments of the Czech "ENERGO-PRO Group" in Georgia.

JSC "EP Georgia Generation" has successfully completed the next stage of the reconstruction of "Rioni HPP". A brand new, ELPROM manufactured, #2 power transformer imported by the company from Europe was replaced and installed.

Independent producer of electricity, Czech company "Energo-Pro" a.s. expands its activities in Galicia, Spain. The Company completed Xallas Electricidad y Aleaciones, S.A.U ("Xeal") and Feroe Ventures & Investments S.L.U. ("Feroe") acquisition of 100% equity capital of companies from leading global investment firm SIXTH STREET. This is one of the largest Czech investments in Spain. To finance the transaction, "Energo-Pro" a.s. received a loan of 300 million EUR from J.P. Morgan and Goldman Sachs. Xeal owns and operates ten hydro power plants with a capacity of 167 MW and two ferrosalloy plants.

From May 13 through 15, JSC “EP Georgia Generation” will carry out planned works at water storages in Zahesi and Ortachala HPP.
