Gardabani air turbine power plant

Gardabani air turbine power plant “G-Power” is the first successful attempt in Georgia to introduce the latest energy technologies. Gardabani power plant is an energy facility built on the basis of Pratt and Whitney Power Systems FT8 type air turbines. At this stage, the installed capacity of the power plant is 110 megawatts, however, the Gardabni air turbine power plant is an air turbine superstructure of a combined cycle steam-air power plant, so its generation can be further increased in case of new investment.  “G-Power” operates in peak and emergency mode, synchronization with the system takes place in 25 minutes and with full capacity loading in – 35 minutes.

The total cost of implemented investment is 53,800,000 dollars. Gardabani Air Turbine Power Plant was commissioned on January 23, 2006. S.S. The subsidiary company of Energo-Pro Georgia – “G-Power” purchased the air turbine from the company “Energy Invest” in December 2010.
