The level of the Mtkvari River in Mtskheta will return to its natural level for 3 days

From July 14 to 16, JSC “EP Georgia Generation” will carry out planned works on the Zahesi HPP reservoir. A planned washing of the reservoir of the hydropower plant is planned, which aims to maintain its useful volume and clean and remove accumulated garbage. The works will be carried out in accordance with environmental standards and safety measures established by law.

The washing works of the reservoir will continue for three days, which will result in a 3-day shutdown of Zahesi HPP and, accordingly, the water level in the Mtkvari River bed in Mtskheta will drop and return to its natural level.

JSC “EP Georgia Generation” annually carries out cleaning works of the reservoirs of the hydropower plants owned by the company, which contributes to the efficient operation of the hydropower plants.
