Dzevrula HPP is a high-head hydroelectric power plant. Dzevrula HPP reservoir (Tkibuli reservoir) is located in Tkibuli municipality in the surrounding area of village Akhalsofeli, 7 km from Tkibuli town, and the power node of Dzverula HPP is located in Terjola district.
The reservoir of annual regulation with a live storage of 65.0 million m3 is created by the earth dam built in the Akhalsopeli depression. Dzevrula HPP operates with river Tkiubula runoff and with water flow for power generation of Shaori HPP
Tkibuli Reservoir is distinguished by its six islands, four of which are completely covered by the water, when the level rises. Dzevrula HPP was put into operation in 1956. The design installed capacity of the HPP is 80.0 MW, the design generation of electricity is 140.0 million kWh.
